Cup finals don’t come round too often for Sunderland fans and rest assured the traveling supporters will make the most of every minute of their trip to Wembley for the Capital One Cup final against Manchester City on March 2.

The pubs around Wembley will be crammed with red and white so here’s a little advice to make sure your Wembley trip isn’t marred by local rules and regulations.

The area around Wembley Stadium will have a Controlled Drinking Zone in place and a number of pubs in the area have been specifically designated for Sunderland supporters. The best way to avoid any hassle will be to stick to the designated pubs on the way to Wembley on Sunday and enjoy the revelry with your fellow supporters.

There was an impromptu gathering of Sunderland fans in Trafalgar Square the night before the 1985 playoff finals and thousands of Mackems are expected to head there again on Saturday. Please be aware that preparations for the Russian Spring Festival will mean the Square could be cordoned off on Saturday night.
